IUME Foundation Launches to Expand Access to Quality Education for Underserved Learners

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PLANO, Texas — May 22, 2026 — IUME Foundation today announced its official launch as an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding equitable access to quality education for underserved students and communities.

Founded on the belief that education is a fundamental human right, not a privilege, IUME Foundation brings together educators, schools, volunteers, nonprofits, technology providers, businesses, and local communities to remove barriers that prevent children from reaching their full potential.

The Foundation’s mission is to help ensure that every child has access to the tools, support, and learning opportunities needed to succeed—regardless of financial circumstances, geography, or other challenges.

“Far too many students possess the ability to succeed but lack access to the resources and opportunities they need,” said Iyad Jabri, Chairman of the Board. “IUME Foundation exists to help close that gap by bringing together people and organizations who believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.”

Building a Community for Educational Opportunity

IUME Foundation is focused on building a grassroots community of passionate educators, volunteers, innovators, and partners committed to improving educational access and outcomes.

Rather than working alone, the Foundation will collaborate with school districts, nonprofit organizations, higher education institutions, corporate partners, and technology providers to design and deliver practical, sustainable educational programs that can be adapted and replicated across communities with the greatest need.

The Foundation’s work will include helping provide access to educational programs, digital learning resources, teacher support, and devices when needed, while working alongside local partners to address barriers to student success.

A Long-Term Global Vision

While the Foundation’s immediate priority is serving students and schools in Texas and the United States, its long-term vision is global.

IUME Foundation intends to develop repeatable, community-centered implementation models that can be adapted to underserved regions around the world. By partnering with local educators, nonprofits, governments, businesses, and technology providers, the Foundation aims to help communities create sustainable educational opportunities tailored to their unique needs.

The Foundation believes that lasting educational impact is achieved through collaboration, local leadership, and shared commitment—not by any single organization acting alone.

Leadership

IUME Foundation is governed by an independent Board of Directors consisting of:

  • Iyad Jabri, Chairman
  • James Lancaster, Board Member
  • Harold Strong, Board Member

The Board is committed to ensuring that the Foundation operates with transparency, accountability, and a steadfast focus on its charitable and educational mission.
